Female Safety on UNC-Chapel Hill Campus

Anny Jacoby, President of The Realistic Female Self-Defense Company and Project Safe Girls announces “War Against Campus Violence.” Catch the dream of a safer world for women and girls.

With the Fall session in progress on college campuses across the country, there are already reports of attacks on several females, some make the news, some never receive attention, and others are never reported.

Anny Jacoby, Founder of The Realistic Female Self-Defense Company and Project Safe Girls has taken this cause to heart, not only through her internet blog and appearances, but locally as well. Her website, http://www.annyjacoby.com is full of well written and informational pieces about the challenges females are presented with as they go off to college, as well as reporting on incidents from campuses such as University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, Husson College, Duke University, Lenoir-Rhyne, and the University of Georgia to name a few.

Looking forward to a safer campus environment at UNC-Chapel Hill, Kappa Delta Sorority is sponsoring an awareness presentation and live self-defense demonstration open to all of its members on the UNC–Chapel Hill campus, Wednesday, September 29th, from 6:30-7:30 PM. Anny Jacoby will be introducing the group to Personal Safety Education and Training, including the mental, emotional and physical aspects, and Campus Safety, discussing dating violence, sexual assault and rape and how to take preventative measures.

Kappa Delta is to be commended for taking a proactive stand against violence on campus and presenting positive ways for females to recognize the dangers with which they are faced and offering solutions to combat this growing battle on campuses.

Kappa Delta Sorority members, as well as all UNC female students will be eligible for a $50 discount on a full female self-defense training session with Anny Jacoby and lead instructor, Jake Jacoby along with additional male instructors depending on the size of the group. The logistics for training will be coordinated with a group’s coordinator upon consultation.

Anny Jacoby is a Personal Safety Expert and Coach based in North Carolina and travels throughout the US. She is the Founder and President of The Realistic Female Self-Defense Company and Project Safe Girls. She works with women and girls of all ages to educate about the dangers females face and how to realistically defend themselves against those dangers through knowledge, intuition and physical self-defense training. Anny speaks to groups large and small about the issues of violence against women and females of all ages, including abuse against children, sexual assault, domestic violence and college campus safety. Project Safe Girls was formed to help empower girls ages 5-23 and attending school through education and teaching self-defense. By providing a supportive and energetic environment, participants will gain confidence and improve self-esteem while learning the basics and importance of safety!
